Risk Books
Risk Books have been publishing titles on risk management and the financial markets for over 25 years. Risk Books combines extensive publishing experience with leading practitioners’ knowledge to produce books that truly add value to the market.
Problem
Risk Books required an online platform to sell their books. Before they only used to sell through a printed catalogue.
Solution
With another developer we worked on created the Risk Books website in Magento 1. After he left I was in sole charge of the site. The picture on this page is the 1.9 Risk Books website.
I also had to maintain some custom API scripts we created in Ruby to pull information from magento and send to our CRM system.
In 2016 I started the task of migrating the the new magento 2.0 version- Magento 2.0 was a complete reqrite and akin to new software. I created script to import data from the old site to import into the new and started on the theme. Due to a bug in Magento 2.0 group products, which I found and submitted to Magento, it didn't go live until after I left. The website URL will go to the new Magento 2 site.
