SHINING 3D, founded in 2004, is pioneering independent research and the development of 3D digitizing and additive manufacturing technologies, owning over 300 patents and more than 100 copyrights.

Problem

Shining 3d wanted a revamped website with two languages. Except one had to be hosted in China.

Solution

It was agreed upon to use Wordpress and Elementor page builder plugin. The client also requested two separate Wordpress installations and a script to check a user's browser language and country and then redirect them to the other site, e.g. if you are in Hong Kong but English language then redirected to the Chinese site with a message about that redirect. I mainly did the backend and some frontend but later had to fix many frontend issues after one of our newer developers unfortunately did a bad job.
